Curriculum

The Avery Coonley School curriculum is designed to combine traditional structure and subject areas with acceleration and enrichment to meet the needs of gifted learners. The program is paced to meet the gifted students' substantial capacity for new information and in-depth knowledge while considering individual student's specific instructional needs and strengths.

Tradition

With a history that dates back over 100 years, ACS students have the opportunity to partake in many decades-old traditions that unite them across grade levels and provide a shared set of experiences for students and alumni. From group-level traditions like the tapping of maple trees by 2^ndGroup students to the school-wide Thanksgiving Program, student's educational experiences extend beyond the classroom and span generations.
