The faculty and staff of The Avery Coonley School are pleased to offer the services of both a Before and After School Program. These programs are available every day when full days of school are in session. The goal of our program is to provide a safe, relaxed atmosphere for recreation, creativity, and socialization.

Before-school supervision is available Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. – start of school. Some students use before school time to do extra work with teachers or participate in one of the many clubs/ activities offered at ACS. A teacher-led intramural program is also offered for Group Five students before school.

After School

The After School Program is available to afternoon Junior Kindergarten students and any student in Kindergarten through Group Eight, Monday through Friday from dismissal until 6 pm. Students attending After School are free to enjoy a variety of outdoor and indoor activities including access to sporting equipment, board games, and art projects. Students often use After School to complete their homework or schedule a playdate with a friend from another neighborhood.

A Homework Club is available to students from 3:45 pm until 4:30 pm in the Library.

Registration and Billing

The cost of the program is $8 per hour, per child billed with tuition bills. Pre-registration for the program is not required, students may "drop-in" on a daily basis.
