The Avery Coonley School Athletics program, which is a member of the West DuPage Elementary School Association (W.D.E.S.A.), is a competitive, interscholastic program that provides a positive physical learning environment, teaches higher-level sports skills, and builds strong character values in our student/athletes. The importance of teamwork is taught, encouraged, and nurtured as an essential element in competing respectfully in the range of sports offered. Any interested student in Groups Six through Eight is encouraged to participate. Generally, the varsity teams consist of Eighth Group students and select Seventh Group students. The junior varsity teams consist of students in Groups Six and Seven.
