ACS Associate Director of Communications & Marketing & alumnus (Class of '92) Michi Trota has been published as a contributing author in New Frontiers: The Many Worlds of George Takei, a comics anthology of diverse creators celebrating the life and legacy of the famed actor and activist. This is Michi's first published comic, which explores her journey in reconciling her identity as a US born and raised Filipina American, and is illustrated by Filipino artist Jeremy Arambulo.

The anthology is a companion book to the Japanese American History Museum exhibition of the same name, and uses Takei's incredible journey as a launching pad for the imaginations of an array of diverse creators to tell original stories about incarceration and exclusion, representation and resistance, the digital world and the struggle in the streets.

The anthology is available for purchase through the JAHM's website.
