After teaching in the ACS Junior Kindergarten Program for 15 years, Mrs. Wiltz transitioned into the role of Lower School Head in 2018. She also taught K through second grade in the public school system at Marquardt #15 in Glendale Heights, IL. In addition to a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, she also has an endorsement in gifted education and a Bachelor’s Degree in French.

Mrs. Wiltz’s professional development experience is diverse and extensive. In 2011, she presented on Balancing Development Appropriateness and Early Academics at the IAGC Annual Conference and the I Teach K! National Conference in Las Vegas. The Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University has invited her to speak to audiences about building readiness skills for young learners. She has presented to both parent and educator groups on the topics of the neuroscience of play, building resilience to lessen perfectionism, and the importance of developing executive functions in children.

She has two grown children, one of whom is in college, and four cats. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, taking nature walks, going to yoga class, and visiting with family and friends.
