This webpage is intended to keep the community informed of how ACS is addressing the issues regarding COVID-19. On this page, you will find copies of COVID-19 communications to parents from the Head of School, links to various websites recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other health departments. It is not intended to replace direct communication with families, nor should any parent hesitate to reach out directly to Head of School Paul Druzinsky or School Nurse Rose Ciccione with specific questions or concerns.

As we continue to work together to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, we appreciate your partnership with The Avery Coonley School to support the education of your children. We invite you to reach out if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions about this Health and Safety Plan or the school’s reopening this fall. Please send your thoughts to:

For further questions about COVID-19, please call the DuPage County Health Department COVID-19 Hotline at 630-221-7030.   They are experts and are taking specific phone calls regarding COVID-19 and what you can do to help keep your child and family members safe.

Our primary source of factual information, guidelines, and suggestions is the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To that end we encourage parents to go directly to their website for specific questions or to better understand the virus itself.
