All Back-to-School forms and Health forms must be completed by the first day of School (Thursday, August 21, 2025).
Back-to School Forms
Information on Back-to School forms was emailed to all current families in the newsletter sent out on Thursday, July 10, 2025. All Back-to-School forms can found on the Parent Portal and must be completed by the first day of school. To access the forms, log into the Parent Portal and click on the Back-to-School Forms button. You will need to complete the listed forms, verify/update your household profile and directory listing, and complete your Magnus Health requirements.
New families — you were emailed instructions on how to access Veracross and the Parent Portal on July 8, 2025. The email came from system@mail.veracross.com. If you did not receive it or need assistance contact the Tech Team at techteam@averycoonley.org
Health Forms
In addition to the Back-to-School forms, all required Health forms must be submitted online through Magnus Health by the first day of school. We are unable to accept any forms mailed, emailed, faxed, or dropped off at the School. Magnus Health is accessible through the Parent Portal. Forms can be uploaded as a pdf, jpg, or png file. See Magnus Health section below for more information.
Note: All families will need to create or update health profiles for their child(ren) in Magnus Health regardless of whether they are required to upload state forms. Your child(ren)’s health profile provides us with critical information needed in order to keep them safe at School. The medical profile is where you will list any allergies your child may have, or medicines they may be taking.

The Parent Portal
Access information for the Parent Portal was emailed out to new families Tuesday, July 8 2025. The email came from system@mail.veracross.com.If you have not received your email, check your spam folder before reaching out to our tech team at techteam@averycoonley.org.

This Parent Portal allows you to quickly and easily monitor your child(ren)’s education and activities at school by putting everything you need in one place.
How to add the Parent Portal to your phone's home screen:
Magnus Health
Magnus Health is our secure online health record system that will be used to safely collect, store, and manage student health records. In Magnus Health, you will be able to update your child(ren)’s health record(s) and upload any required health forms. Your Magnus Health account is accessible through the Parent Portal. Families must complete or update their child(ren)'s heatlh profile(s) and upload any required forms by the first day of school.
Note: All families will need to create health profiles for their children in Magnus Health regardless of whether they are required to upload state forms.
State Form Requirements:
- Illinois Child Health Exam (required for all new students, returning students entering PreK 4, Groups 2 and 6, AND students in Groups 5, 7, and 8 if they are participating in interscholastic sports during the 2025-2026 school year)
- Illinois Dental Exam (all new students entering K-8 and returning students entering Groups 2 and 6)
- Illinois Eye Exam (all students entering Kindergarten and new students entering Groups 1-8)
- Medication Authorization form for Over-the-Counter and Prescription Medication (all students)
- Allergy Action Plan (for any student diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies)
- Asthma Action Plan (for any student with a diagnosis of asthma)
- Seizure Action Plan (for any student with a diagnosis of seizures)
SchoolPass
SchoolPass is used by ACS to simplify and streamline our daily arrival and dismissal process, to accurately account for student activity and attendance, and for our After-School Program attendance. SchoolPass welcome emails will be sent to all parents in early August. All families will need to follow the instructions in the letter to set up their account for this year. Once your account is set up, you will be able to log in directly from the Parent Portal on Veracross.

All families should make sure SMS notifications have been enabled in their SchoolPass accounts. Doing so allows you to receive emergency notifications from the School (such as weather related school closings). The setting is turned off by default which is why we need you to enable the feature. Note, you must accept the SchoolPass Terms of Service in order for the SMS notification service to work. Instructions on how to enable this feature can be found — HERE.
After-School Program
Avery Coonley students in full day PreK 3 through Group 8 may enroll in the After-School Program. An additional fee is charged for this program and billed in the student’s tuition statement. Students may be signed up for the entire year, or by day as needed. The After-School Program operates Monday–Friday, 2:45pm – 6pm. It is NOT available on early dismissal days or days the School is closed. More information on the Program and instructions on how to register can be found — HERE.
School Directories
Directories can be accessed through the Parent Portal and are located in the Communication section.
School Calendar
The full School calendar can be accessed directly from the Parent Portal. The calendar on the Parent Portal is the most up-to-date and accurate. The current week’s information shows automatically at the top of the Parent Portal homepage. To view the full calendar on the Parent Portal, click “My Family Calendar” under the My Tools section.
Tuition Statements
You can log into your tuition statements directly from the Parent Portal. Click “Tuition Statements” in the My Tools section on the Parent Portal. This is where you can check your account balances and make your payments.

About our Systems

Veracross
Veracross is a student information system designed specifically to address the needs of Private Schools and allows us to serve our community more seamlessly. The Parent Portal on located on Veracross and allows you access to the School calendar, the School directories, news, and event information. It also allows you to update your personal information, view class schedules, see academic reports, student attendance, and communicate with teachers all in one place. It is password protected by a user log-in which means all information is secure.

Magnus Health
This online solution for collecting, managing, and securely storing student health information means more accurate and quickly accessible information for our school nurse. It also means less paperwork for you, continuous access to your child(ren)’s health information, and the ability to upload your documents via mobile device. The system is both FERPA and HIPAA compliant and allows you to download and take your child’s health records with you when they graduate. Magnus Health integrates with Veracross so you will be able to log in through the Parent Portal starting in July.
All health forms must be submitted online through Magnus Health. Forms will NOT be accepted by mail, email, or fax, and forms may not be dropped off at the school.
