Mrs. Bohn has been teaching at The Avery Coonley School since 1999, but has been affiliated with the school for 33 years as the parent of three ACS alumni. Prior to joining ACS as a teacher, Mrs. Bohn owned her own studio for 11 years teaching stained glass techniques. She sponsors art clubs for Middle School students, oversees the Art Awareness program, and continues as a practicing artist with personal projects.

Mrs. Bohn is a member of the National Art Educators Association (NAEA) and the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education. She has completed professional development with NAEA, Sculpture, Objects, and Functional Art (SOFA), and ISACS, and has completed 12 hours toward a graduate degree in photography at Northern Illinois University. As a private project, Mrs. Bohn has photographed and catalogued the stained glass windows of the Smith College Museum of Art.

Mrs. Bohn spends her free time volunteering with the Children’s Home and Aid Society, working with underprivileged kids on photography and ink art. She is a diehard Chicago sports fan and tries to find as much time as possible to cheer on the White Sox with her family.
